Feeding Forecast System
Book the platoon into the kitchen for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner each day. For Container Meals, Packed Meals, NERTS, or other special requests, use the relevant tab instead.

Set each meal to IN (feeding in camp) or OUT, with the number of personnel. For Container Meals, Packed Meals, NERTS, or pass-outs, use the dedicated tabs above β this grid covers in-cookhouse feeding only.
Include any staff eating with the platoon β everyone counted in your feeding numbers must appear on the nominal roll (use the rank field to identify staff).
Orders close every Tuesday at 10:00am for the following week.
Order container meals for one or more days in a single submission. Fill in unit details once, then add a row for each day required.

Order packed meals for one or more days in a single submission. Fill in unit details once, then add a row for each day required.
β Bookings and changes must be made at least 48 hours before the date required. For anything more last-minute, please contact your kitchen directly β if rations are available they may be able to help.

NERTS are ordered separately from the weekly mess feeding cycle and can be requested at any time β there is no Tuesday deadline for NERTS. Submitting an order here generates a one-time collection code, which is also emailed to stores along with the order detail. Whoever presents the code collects on behalf of the whole platoon.
Use this tab for anything outside the normal feeding cycle β pass outs, one-off catering requests, or anything requiring higher sign-off. A permissions document confirming authorisation must be uploaded before this can be submitted.
Book an early breakfast for your platoon. Available between 04:00 and 06:00. Submit as early as possible so the kitchen can prepare.

List every person on the roll β Name, Rank and Number. Use Apply rank to all to set the same rank down the whole list, then adjust individuals. Add or remove rows as needed.

Two quick questions β help us improve the ordering system and the catering service.
Manually trigger reminder emails to all platoons who have not yet submitted their order. These also fire automatically via the scheduler.
Pick a breakdown and kitchen, then export the figures in the Crown claim format β daily rows with Β£ totals per column (priced from your saved Crown Rates) plus the JMCRF claim summary. Rows the app can't source yet (Training DFC, Tier 1 DFC, Commercial tiers, Milk, Medical, Inflight, SUTP, Misc) are left blank for manual entry rather than guessed.
Export Crown Account gives one row per day for the selected period β Breakfast, Meal 1, Meal 2 with the DMA Β£ total, Packed with its Β£, NERTS and the day's Β£ total, with column totals at the bottom β followed by the claim summary in the JMCRF layout. Package adds every nominal roll for the period (uploaded files as-is, registered Feeding Forecast rolls as CSVs) into one ZIP. Container Meals fold into their meal period.
The Β£ rates used to cost the Crown account, matching your Monthly Rates tab. Update them each quarter β they apply to all kitchens.
Other / Pass Out requests awaiting approval. Tick to approve or decline each request.
Register each Company / platoon here. Set an access code (or leave blank to auto-generate one) β it's emailed to them and locks their login to this platoon only. The kitchen is where they will eat and collect their Packed (PM) and Container (CM) meals. Remove a platoon any time below to de-register them instantly. The contact name and email are automatically deleted (GDPR) at the course end date β the unit/platoon and kitchen stay on record for Crown Account reporting.
Give each kitchen its own login code. A chef who signs in with a kitchen code (on the Chef login tab) gets the Chef View locked to that kitchen only β its orders, summaries and exports. The master CHEF code sees all kitchens. Codes must be at least 8 characters (letters, numbers and normal symbols, no spaces); leave blank and save to auto-generate one.
Legacy option: give a site a shared manager code with no email attached β anyone with the code can sign in as that site's manager. For a named manager tied to their own email, use Register Site Manager below instead. Either grants the Admin View locked to that site only β Dashboard, Crown Account and Requests β but never Registration or Feedback. Codes must be at least 8 characters (letters, numbers and normal symbols, no spaces); leave blank and save to auto-generate one.
Register a named site manager (general/catering manager) here β one per site. Their code is emailed to them and locks their login to that site only, same as the Site Manager tab above, but tied to their own email address. Remove one any time below to de-register them instantly. The contact name and email are automatically deleted (GDPR) at the course end date β the site stays on record for Crown Account reporting.
Sets the master Admin login code β recognised from any login tab (Sgt, Chef or Site Manager), so it doesn't need its own tab. 8β32 characters β letters, numbers and normal symbols, no spaces. Enter it twice to confirm the change.
The address platoon sergeants are told to email their nominal roll to for records and proof, and the body of the email template they copy. Both appear after an order is submitted. Use {serial} and {platoon} in the template β they are filled in automatically for each order (the subject line is always built as Platoon β Serial β Nominal Roll).
Manage the list of sites or kitchens available when sergeants submit an order. Add one per kitchen β works for a single kitchen or many.
Choose which order types each site offers. Sergeants registered to a site only see the tabs it offers, its site never appears in the other order forms, and the server refuses orders for services a site doesn't run. New sites offer everything until you untick it.
